As we emerge and return to work and open up society again – key issue: the “social expectations” vs. “scientific / clinical expectations for masks.” What is the commitment to one another around masks. Masks are protecting others. Masks may be around social contract to serve others. The social stigma and norms around masks are still being set even at the leadership level. April 2020, there is still very heterogeneous and highly variable use of masks for infectious disease.
